Number of Fields
Overview:
There is a fixed number of fields you can add within Express. This is based on the overall total of the different types of fields and is not a per-mapping count.
In other words, if you have 8 unique decimal type fields in one mapping and 6 unique decimal type fields in another, you have gone over your overall limit of 10 decimal type fields.
Limitations:
Currency: 10 custom “Currency” fields
Date: 6 (5 custom “Date” fields + 1 Standard "DealDate")
Decimal: 10 custom “Number” fields
User: 5 (4 custom “Profile” fields + 1 standard "Salesperson")
Text: 25 (22 custom “String” fields + 1 Standard "Deal Id" + 1 Standard "Account" + 1 Standard "Product")
Checkbox: 5 custom checkbox fields (listed as “Boolean”)
Deleting Fields:
Deleting a field to add a new one will also delete any historical data that the field may have had.
For example, if you delete the MRR Amount field, which has been used in paying out reps for a full fiscal year, all historical results for the MRR Amount field will be deleted when the field is deleted.
It is instead recommended to rename the Express Field Names instead of deleting them.
Using the same Express Field Name in Multiple Mappings:
You can have multiple mappings using the same field name, however, each mapping can be mapped to a different field in Salesforce or via CSV.
For example, in Mapping 1 MRR Amount Express Field Name looks to Total MRR, but in Mapping 2 MRR Amount Express field Name can look to Amount Per Opportunity field.
