Link Salesforce Dashboards to Express Dashboards
Salesforce has the functionality to link Salesforce Dashboard components (i.e. pods) to a specific URL. To do this:
- Go to Salesforce > Dashboards
- Select the Dashboard you would like to have a pod linked to Express
- Click "Edit"
- On the pod you would like to link to Express click the wrench icon:
- In the pop-up window, click "Component Data"
- Under "Drill Down to" select "Other URL":
- In a separate tab, open up Express > Rep Dashboard > from the drop-down menu "Logged in as" select any other user than an Admin user.
- Copy the URL
- Go back to the first tab with the Component Editor showing and paste the URL
- Delete the end of the URL up until "home". For example, if the URL is:
https://xactlyexpress.na22.visual.force.com/apex/xactlysmbdashrephome?userId=0051J0000D9SYDDALAM
When you are done deleting, the URL should read:
https://xactlyexpress.na22.visual.force.com/apex/xactlysmbdashrephome
You deleted: ?userId=0051J0000D9SYDDALAM - Click "Ok" > then "Save"
Now when your reps go to the Dashboard in Salesforce and click on the pod it will lead them directly to the Express Dashboard, logged in as their user. If the user is a manager, they will be able to log in as their users as well once in the Express Dashboard.
