Import Source in Credit Rule Preventing Opportunity Estimator from Working
If the Opportunity Estimator isn’t working, it could be because the credit rule criteria say “Import Source = XYZ”
The Opportunity Estimator is not working due to the criteria in the credit rule. For example, if the criteria in section D says says "Import Source = Booking", since this field is a constant value and only in Express and isn't a field the Opportunity that the Estimator recognizes, the opportunity does not meet the criteria. To prevent this from being a problem, we would recommend:
- Create a hidden field on the object in Salesforce that is a constant field. This field will be on every record and hidden so it can't be changed. It is by the object, so if you have two objects - Opportunity and Opportunity Product - you will create a constant value field on each object. One that says "Opportunity" and one that says "Opportunity Product". This value will be a string/text field.
- Map to that field within Express instead of using a constant value within Express mapping only. You don't need to add a new Express Field name, but instead, just change the column 2 section from being the constant value to the drop-down menu and search for the field name.
- Keep the criteria within the credit rule to still be "Import Source = Booking"
