Uploading Deals into Salesforce Through Dataloader.io

When uploading a large amount of line items - typically 2000+ per file - it is recommended to use dataloader.io. This is an application through the Salesforce platform and will upload the CSV file first into Salesforce. This is a separate charge through Salesforce to use this app**.

Once you upload the file, the details will then need to be uploaded into Express. Below details how to upload a file into dataloader.io.

1. Go to dataloader.io in your browser URL
2. Log into Salesforce
3. In dataloader.io > Click New Task
4. Under Operations click Upsert. Upsert is recommended, but additional functionalities are available:
   • Insert: Creating a new record
   • Update: Updates an existing record
   • Upsert: "Update and Insert", updates existing records and inserts new records
5. Select the object you want to import the deals onto
   NOTE: Professional Services often times create a custom object if the dataloader.io is being used.
6. Upload the CSV file
7. Next > Run > Save & Run
