Setting up in a Developer Sandbox

A Developer Sandbox does not copy over all the details for the Xactly Express app. To complete the refresh, the mappings and plans will need to be recreated in the Sandbox environment. There are four different kind of Sandbox environments. Find out more information on each by reviewing the Salesforce Sandbox Types article.

First, re-create the mappings by:

1. Going into the Production environment > Express > Setup > Define Deal Attribute
2. In a separate tab, open up the Sandbox environment > Express > Setup > Define Deal Attribute
3. Set up the CSV and/or Salesforce mappings in Sandbox by referencing the Production Live environment.

Next, recreate the plans:

1. Go into the Production environment
2. Under the header click "+" > search for Express Admin Tool*
3. Under row 1, export all the plans
4. Go back to the Sandbox environment > "+" > Express Admin Tool
5. Under row 2, Import the plans.

You will also need to export the mapping(s):

1. Go to Setup > Define Deal Attribute
2. Select a plan or plans you would like to export
3. In the upper right corner click the cogwheel icon > Export Mapping
