How to Uninstall
It is recommended before uninstalling that you go to the reports and export the raw data if you haven't already and would like to keep historical information.
Once you uninstall Express, ALL the data will be erased from your instance. Xactly does not keep any of the data stored on our end. If in the future you want to re-install Express, all previous data will not be available. The new installation will be a new build and Express will start from scratch.
Reports to Export Before Uninstalling:
XCPayoutDetails: (Parent is XCPayoutResult). Person level details. Exist to pull in a lot of objects/relationships that were not once available. Anything on the Commission Statement is pulled from these two objects (XCPayoutDetails / XCPayoutResults)
XCPayoutResult: This is the same object we pull the payroll file from. This will give you a YTD view of the payroll files. This includes liability balances and draws.
XCManualAdjustments: manual adjustments are made at the user level, not by a specific payment rule. This option is only for the user interface, not for the object itself.
XCReleaseResult: this includes prorate credit amounts and milestone percentages. This will break down when a deal was held and released, which is the same as what is showing in the Release tab (Results > Manage Results > Releases)
XCCreditDealResult: This will break down all deals that have been credited. If some of your credit rules are not associated with payment, it is recommended to also download this report as those details will not show on the XCPayoutDetails report.
Commission Statements: Express does not have an option to bulk export Commission Statements due to Salesforce limitations. If Admin would like to export all Commission Statements, they will need to go by rep, by period, by fiscal year to pull each one individually. Once you uninstall Express, these will be deleted from your instance.
To Uninstall:
- Go to Salesforce > Search > Installed Packages
- Scroll to Xactly Express > Click Uninstall
- Scroll to the very bottom and click “Save a copy of this package’s data for 48 hours after uninstall”
- Check “Yes, I want to uninstall this package and permanently delete all associated components”
- Uninstall
- A message might pop up about uninstalling the Admin Tool as well, if so click on link > select delete option
- If Express still shows up under “Installed ” > refresh browser for it to drop to the bottom under “Uninstalled ”
- If a list of errors appears, these are actually not errors, but tasks that need to be completed:
- Go over the list of errors Salesforce throws while trying to uninstall
- Remove permission sets assignments from users
- Delete any VisualForce pages or classes created in the org and has reference to any components in the package.
Additionally, if you have the Admin Tool installed or you are using the Opportunity Estimator, you will need to delete the two components. Salesforce will bring up an error message that they need to be deleted if they are active.
- To delete the Admin Tool, select the name of the component showing in the error message > select the Reference Label > Delete
- To delete the Opportunity Estimator > Remove the Estimator from Opportunity Page Layout.
NOTE: Uninstalling Express will delete all the data in Express, including any compensation plans and data associated with those plans.
