Explanation of Hold columns on Payout Details report
When creating a report to show data related to the Hold Balances for deals, there are a few different columns that can be added to give visibility into the hold amounts. The hold column options are Hold Amount, Balances Held, and Hold Balance. Each of these displays different information about holds.
Earned Amount: Displays the total amount that will be paid out. This will only appear in the period it is earned. So if a rep has a deal that will eventually payout a total of $5000, the Earned Amount in the period it was calculated will be $5000, all other periods will show $0.
Hold Amount: Displays the original hold amount from the deal when it was first processed through Xactly Express. This hold amount is the amount that was held at the time of the deals Deal Date.
Balances Held: Displays the hold amount according to the Period that the report was looking at.
Hold Balance: Displays what the Hold Balance is in the period that Xactly Express is currently in. This shows the most current hold balance of a deal.
Amount Paid: This shows what was the amount paid on a deal in the period that the deal was earned and processed through Express.

Event Name: Only populates when the hold is released
Event Description: Found in Plans > Edit Plans > Define Payment > section E > On Multiple Events > Edit Rule > Event Description
Type: Shows “Hold ” or “Release”. Similar to the field IsReleased, but instead of a checkbox, it is words.
Total Release: This represents how much has been released to the rep. This may be broken down into multiple line items. So if $4,000 is released and this correlates to a $40 payout, then an additional $2,000 is released for a $20 payout, there will be two line items. Total Release will say $40 for line item one, and $20 for line item 2.
Commission: This is the total payout on the deal.
Amount Released: This represents how much will be released at the end
Credit Amount: This is the full credit amount on the deal. If the rep gets $10,000 in credits, this field will show $10,000
Prorate Credit: This is the credit amount released. This is the most helpful for prorating holds. So if the rep gets a full credit of $10,000, but only released $4,000, this field wills how $4,000
