Rename Report Fields to Match
If a field name in a report shows as a “Currency4__c”, for example, you will need to rename the field name under the Report Types tab.
To rename the fields to what is shown in XCDealAttribute, you will need to do the following:
- Go to SFDC > Setup > Build > Create > Report Types
- In a separate tab, open up the Reports page again > search for the XCDealAttribute report
- Search for the field name you would like to change. For example "Software ACV" under the DealColumnName will show as "Currency4__c".
- Go back to the Report Types tab and click Continue > search "X" > search for the report name, such as XCCreditDealResult or XCPayoutDetails > click Edit Layout > search for the DealColumnName (i.e. Currency4)
- Double click on the field name and clear out the "Display As". It will display as either "XCPayoutDetail: DealResultID: DealID: Currency4" or "Currency4" depending on the report.
- Type in the name you would like to change it to (i.e. Software ACV) NOTE: You can change all field names at once, you don’t have to save each time you change a name
- Once done, Save.
- Then go to the report you were working on. If this report was already open, click “Run Report” to show the updated field names.
