Setup: Chatter Settings tab
You can use the Chatter Settings area to customize the automatic chatter messages produced by Express. After you configure these settings, the specified messages are posted to all users of the relevant groups/roles after the selected action has occurred.
To navigate to Chatter go to Express > Setup > Chatter Settings.
Automatically post when: The activity which triggers the automatic postings.
- Data is imported: A notification via Chatter will go out each time deals are imported into Express.
- Calculations are run: A notification via Chatter will go out each time when calculations are run.
- The period is closed: A notification via Chatter will go out each time when the current period is closed.
Post to these users/groups: The Salesforce.com Groups and Roles to which messages are posted. Messages are sent to all individuals that are both users of Express AND match the selected group/role.
- Role: This will only post to a specific role. Roles are determined by the Role Hierarchy in Salesforce. To access the Role Hierarchy go to Salesforce > Setup > Manage Users > Roles.
- Role and Subordinates: This will post to the role with their subordinates based on the Salesforce hierarchy.
Use this message: The message that will be posted when the process mentioned above occurs. This can be customized per process. There is a character limit of 250.
