Bonuses - Changing Frequency and Creating Holds

Payment Frequency (i.e. Holds)

Express has two options to release payment:

Option 1: System Holds

System Hold keeps the details on the backend, in other words, these holds are not available to view under the Holds tab. System Holds will release automatically and cannot be manually released.

Option 2: Event-Based Holds

Event-Based Holds are holds that are milestones, prorate, or based on a schedule. In section E of the payment rule, these are housed under the toggle for "On Multiple Events". These types of holds have the additional functionality of being set to automatically released or manually released. Learn How to Release Holds

Bonuses

Bonuses can only be System Holds. This means, they cannot be manually released and are set on the backend schedule based on the type of System Hold selected:

• Monthly: Released within the same period the deal is credited
• Quarterly: Released in Month 3
• Semi-Annually: Released in Month 6
• Annually: Released in Month 12

Changing Payment Frequency Mid-Year

Admins can change the bonus frequency determined in section E of the payment rule at any time. If the bonus has already been released or is scheduled to release in the current period, it may cause a negative payout.
