Errors with Release or Delete Imports
Once you have imported your release or delete mapping and may see a warning icon next to "Results". This is a warning and not an error. This does not necessarily mean there is something wrong with your holds. This is a message indicating some releases have failed or are showing an error.
To see what the message is warning against going to Results > Manage Results > Releases > you will see a bolded Error > click this hyperlink and a pop up will show what is causing the particular deal not to release or delete.
Typically, this will be due to:
- Each night you will potentially release the same holds over and over. So if you have a deal that is set to be released as of October 1, but keeps the period open until October 20, the system will show that deal trying to be released each night. This does not mean you have overpaid or underpaid your reps.
- The hold does not exist. Express is designed so that the release or delete mappings function independently of the deal mappings. In other words, the system does not first check to make sure there is a hold, it checks to see if a deal meets the Import Criteria and Mapping required fields and tries to release. Some deals meet the criteria but were never brought into Express purposely.
- There are criteria missing on the deal itself or the plan and therefore the hold was not created when the deal first came in.
To remove the warning icon you will need to re-run calculations. This should not disrupt your results. The Error deals will continue to show under Results > Manage Results > Releases unless you undo calculations in the period the warning was produced.
